Great Wall presented an extreme version of its Cannon pickup, also known as Pao, at the Shanghai Motor Show.
The Great Wall retained the stock engine, but got a more aggressive appearance, upgraded suspension and its own designation – Baja Snake. The hardcore pickup stands out for its different bumpers, wheel arch extensions and the original design of the radiator grille.
In addition, themed graphics on the body and longitudinal stripes were made for Baja Snake, which evoke associations with American sports cars. The interior of the pickup was finished in Alcantara with contrasting color accents. The only refinement of the power unit is the appearance of the snorkel. The Baja Snake pickup is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo unit that produces 190 hp.
The new Baja Snake also received a reinforced chassis: the suspension of the pickup uses Fox Racing sports shock absorbers, which have 14 levels of adjustment. “Shod” the pickup in off-road tires Toyo Open Country R / T on the original rims. The modification of the suspension also led to an increase in ground clearance by 50 mm (the ground clearance of a conventional Cannon is 232 mm, with a full load – 194 mm).
