The new Harley-Davidson has set a record for endurance, reliability! The American manufacturer reported via Twitter that the Sportster S has traveled 3,141 kilometers at an average speed of 130.9 km/h in 24 hours.
The record run took place on the test track at Hero CIT (Global Center for Innovation & Technology) in Jaipur. The motorcycle was driven by five riders. In total, we made 31 pit stops for refueling and changing tires.
“The record is a testament to the quality of this H-D motorcycle – successfully passed the test and traveled more than any other motorcycle in the country in 24 hours,” said Ravi Avalur, head of the Harley-Davidson division at Hero MotoCorp.
“H-D say the 1.74-kilometre high-speed oval course was chosen specifically to test the limits of both human and motorcycle endurance,” the report says.
