In the Haval lineup there was already a coupe-like crossover H6 Coupe, although it could only be called a full-fledged cross-coupe with a stretch. All the “coupe” of this model was reduced to a slightly sloping roof and a high sill line. This model has now been replaced by the new H6S, which premiered at the Chengdu Auto Show.
Unlike the same H6 Coupe, which was based on the platform of the first generation of the “six”, the H6S is designed on the basis of the third generation crossover, therefore it has a different concept. The S-version differs from the usual crossover by the original body kit and design details, which, according to Hawail, they drew from the image of a shark.
In comparison with the H6, the car’s length has increased by 74 mm, and the width has added 54 mm – to 4727 and 1940 mm, respectively. The wheelbase remains the same – 2738 mm.
In the cabin, Haval designers have used inserts “a la carbon”, contrasting overdue, and also installed “pseudo-sports” seats with integrated headrests.
The equipment of the crossover includes such options as: a digital instrument panel, a projection on the windshield, a circular view system, as well as a wide range of driver’s assistants.
In the basic configuration, the crossover will be equipped with a 2-liter “turbo four” with a capacity of 211 horsepower (325 Nm), working in conjunction with front-wheel drive. As an alternative, they will offer an option with a hybrid system based on a 1.5-liter turbo engine. The total output of such an installation will be 243 “forces” or 530 Nm.
The Haval H6S will go on sale in the home market before the end of the year. The prices are already known. The cross-coupe will be charged from 138,900 to 154,900 yuan.
