The company Haval (part of Great Wall Motor) has published pictures of the interior of the new compact crossover Chitu (“red rabbit” in translation from Chinese). We will remind, a few days earlier, the exterior of the novelty was shown. Sales in China will begin in April.
The Haval Chitu crossover will be the fourth model on the Lemon modular platform, which Great Wall has developed in-house. On wheelbase Chitu repeats the compact crossover First Love – 2700 mm, but in overall length it is slightly less (4450 mm versus 4480).
Despite the close relationship between Chitu and Jolion, the manufacturer did not completely unify the interiors. The novelty has a front panel of a different shape, the microclimate unit is installed lower, and a compact lever is used instead of the automatic selector washer.
The new compact Haval will be equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 150 or 184 hp. (at the buyer’s choice). Both are combined only with a seven-speed preselective “robot” and front-wheel drive. The exact same configurations are offered for First Love in China.
A full presentation of Haval Chitu will take place in April. All technical details will be revealed at the same time.
