The Tesla Model 3 electric car destroyed for decommissioning can still serve humanity. If you transplant a diesel engine into it.
RBC-Ukraine Auto reports this with a link to the Rich Rebuilds YouTube channel.
Popular youtube bloggers from the Rich Rebuilds channel recently made headlines when they fitted a Tesla Model S with a Chevrolet Camaro V8 petrol engine.
Now the American “kulibins” have started a new project, this time with the participation of a state employee Tesla Model 3, and even smashed into the trash.
The goal is to take and install a Cummins 4BT diesel engine in a decommissioned electric vehicle. The first episode of the exciting epic on the transformation of a former electric car into a Tesla Model D has already been filmed – it shows the selection and acquisition of a wrecked car, as well as the process of preliminary preparation for its large-scale reformation.
Note that the cylinder block of the 3.9-liter Cummins 4BT diesel engine is made of cast iron. Therefore, it is very heavy – its weight is about 340 kilograms. In addition, it is very large and will protrude from the engine compartment of the compact Tesla Model 3. We will see in the next episode how the craftsmen will get out of this situation and will they manage to save the hood.
