Honda CB500F, CB500R AND CB500X will get some nice updates

It’s time to head back to school and Honda Europe launched its 2022 CB500 trio just in time to help A2 license holders get into class. As usual, the CB500F, CB500R and CB500X share some updates while others are specific to the range.

2022 CB500s will get some chassis upgrades to choose from. Just like the CB650R and CBR650R, the 2022 CB500 trio features Showa Big Piston USD 41mm front forks with adjustable preload. The CB500X has 135mm front travel, or just over 5.3 inches.

The 2022 CB500F and CB500R will also get slightly lighter aluminum Y-spoke front wheels, while the CB500X will have a 19-inch spoke front wheel. All three CB500s get an all-new 296mm dual-wave brake disc on the front wheel, which also comes with a set of radially mounted Nissin calipers.

The engine map will also be updated for the CB500 trio in 2022, giving it more torque and character. Of course, it still puts out a reliable 35 kilowatts (or 46.9 horsepower), A2 licensed at 8,600 rpm and 43 Newton meters (or 31.7 lb-ft) of torque at 6,500 rpm.

As you would expect, the 2022 CB500s will receive new paint for the new year. The 2022 CB500F will be available in a choice of Pearl Gray, Matt Gray Metallic and Pearl Yellow.
