The budget Honda Amaze sedan went on sale in the Indian market in 2018. Now it’s time for his planned restyling. The premiere of the car should take place on August 18. Honda promises that the new product will undergo “dramatic changes”, but journalists are not sure about this.
On the eve of the autocarindia forum, photos of the updated Amaze sedans without camouflage appeared, judging by which restyling will be reduced to a banal facelift. The main new addition to the Amaze exterior will be the appearance of all-LED lighting technology. The radiator grill of the four-door will change its texture (the mesh will be replaced with lamellas), and chrome L-shaped inserts will be integrated into the bumper.
In the cabin, changes should only take place with finishing materials that promise to be made of better quality.
As for the technical changes, Indian buyers shouldn’t expect them at all. The car will continue to be equipped with the same 1.2-liter gasoline “aspirated” with a capacity of 90 horsepower and 110 Nm, as well as a 1.5-liter “diesel” with a return of 80 and 100 hp. (160 Nm). Both will be assisted, as before, by a 5-speed manual gearbox, CVT and front-wheel drive.
Now for the pre-reform Honda Amaze in India they ask from 632 thousand to 901 thousand local rupees or 8,500 – 12,200 dollars at the current exchange rate. How much the updated version will rise in price and whether it will rise in price at all is still unknown.
