The third-generation electric Honda HR-V will debut at the Wuhan International Show (October 21-26). Dongfeng Honda dubbed the SUV e: NS1 in tribute to the popular Honda NS-1 motorcycle (1991-1999) in China. Judging by the materials for certification in MIIT, the design of the serial electric car is not close to the concept, but coincides with the prototype. The start of sales in China is scheduled for the spring of 2022.

Background: The Honda SUV e: concept was shown in Beijing in the fall of 2020, and the Honda SUV e: prototype (pictured) was revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2021. The current M-NV and VE-1 develop 120 kW (163 hp; 280 Nm), while the 61.3 kWh battery provides 470-480 km (NEDC).

Door handles and exterior mirrors have become common, although the Honda e hatch uses “conceptual” ones. Bumpers and side skirts have undergone corrections, nameplates have appeared on the tailgate. Otherwise, the SUV e: prototype is repeated. The length of the HR-V has grown by 60 mm: 4390x1790x1560 mm, the wheelbase is 2610.

The TZ220XSBT2 electric motor (120 kW, 163 hp) was replaced by the TZ190HSBMCF61 (134 kW, 182 hp) and the TZ190HSAMCF61 (150 kW, 204 hp), which will change depending on complete set. The maximum speed reached 150 km / h (+10). There is no data yet on the batteries and the range, as well as information on the interpretation of the model from the GAC Honda company. The current electric versions of the M-NV and VE-1 are priced at 149,800 yuan ($ 23,200) and 159,800-184,800 ($ 24,800- $ 28,700). Sold from two to 707 units per month.
