The Japanese brand has introduced a new generation of its model “entry-level” – “chetyrehdverki” City. The car is a little stretched out and got a turbo engine.
The old Honda City sedan, the fourth generation lasted on the Assembly line for almost five years: the production of inexpensive by the standards of the brand models launched in 2014, it is based on a previous hatchback Fit/Jazz, her classmates are Hyundai Solaris and KIA Rio. City sell in the countries of South-East Asia and South America, India, China (where the sedan is known as Greiz) and even in Japan (the home market – Grace). Now it is time for the family “chetyrehdverki”: as a debut platform for the “fifth” City was chosen Thailand, as it is this country in a Honda considered a key market for the model.
The new sedan looks more impressive predecessor, the design is made in the style of the older Honda Civic and Insight. This sedan is based on 16-inch wheels (the base 15 – inch).
In the cabin Honda City installed a new front panel and steering wheel. The air vents made a vertical, Central, located on either side of the display and the multimedia system and not from the top, as the previous sedan, the touch screen is now larger. In Thailand, the sedan is available with a new engine is gasoline “turbotron” 1.0 VTEC Turbo, outstanding 122 HP and 173 Nm. The turbo engine replaced the four-cylinder “atmosferico” 1.5 i-VTEC (117 HP). Moreover, the Thai version of the 1.0 engine is combined only with the CVT, whereas the previous City can be purchased even with a five-speed “mechanics”.
