Bugatti continues to stir up interest in its most expensive model – the La Voiture Noire coupe built in a single copy (in our countryn – simply “Black Car”). In the middle of the month, the company gave birth to a collection of stylish black-and-white hypercar postcards, and now is back on social networks with a few fresh shots. This time – without any artistic delights: the photos were taken during tests on the track.
The manufacturer writes that engineers spent 65 thousand hours to create “the most unique product of automobile haute couture”. The French brand hopes that the car will “survive the centuries”, the guarantee of this is a long program of tests on normal roads and race tracks.
Bugatti La Voiture Noire is inspired by the Type 57 SC Atlantic lost during the Second World War, which was owned by Jean Bugatti. The production Chiron served as the technical basis for the exclusive work, while the body, lighting technology and exhaust system of this car are unique. The eight-liter W16 engine develops the standard 1500 hp. and 1600 Nm. The interior decoration is still a secret, although the layout of the “Black Car” was first unveiled over two years ago at the Geneva Salon.
