Subaru has officially announced pricing for its all-new fifth-generation WRX compact sports car. The model will go on sale this spring.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine Auto with reference to CarBuzz.
The base package is priced at $29,105, with an additional $995 shipping fee. For the money, you get a car with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbo engine developing 271 horsepower (202 kW) and 349 Nm, which will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
For the record, that’s $1,680 more than the outgoing generation’s 268bhp model. Choosing a Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT) automatic transmission raises the starting price to $31,950. The EyeSight driver assistance package with cruise control and electronic parking brake is also standard equipment.
Internally, there are two high-resolution 7-inch touchscreens compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Starting at $32,600 with the WRX Premium trim level: 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights, rear spoiler and all-weather package with heated front seats, side mirrors and wiper defroster, plus an 11.6-inch tablet-style center display with Starlink Multimedia Plus.
A high-quality 11-speaker Harmon Kardon audio system will cost another $1,875. The price for the flagship Subaru WRX GT is an impressive $42,890. Among other things, this package includes unique Recaro front seats and electronically controlled shock absorbers.
Orders for the novelty are already being accepted and all configurations will arrive at dealerships throughout the United States this spring.
