Pricing for more economical versions of Polestar 2 has been announced at the IAA in Munich 2021. The new models help reduce entry costs to Polestar 2 by € 6,000.
Both are available with only one engine: the standard single-engine Polestar 2 starts at 45,500 euros and the long single-engine Polestar 2 starts at 48,500 euros. On the other hand, the familiar Long Range Dual Motor Polestar starts at 51,500 euros.
Single-engine versions of the Polestar 2 were first announced earlier this year, dropping horsepower from 408 hp. and 660 Nm of torque to just 231 hp. and 336 Nm of torque.
The Long Range single engine version has the same 78 kWh battery as the twin engine version. As a result of its lower power, it has a greater range. In the WLTP test cycle, it reaches 515-540 km compared to the 450-480 km range of the more powerful Dual Motor vehicle. Meanwhile, the Standard Range version covers 420-440 km.
The car is now offered with three trim levels: Performance, Plus and Pilot Pack. The latter is the cheapest. He adds to the price of just 3500 euros or additional security technologies.
The Plus package adds € 4,500 to the price, plus a Harman Kardon sound system, WeaveTech upholstery, Black Ash décor panels and a full-length glass roof. Finally, the Performance Pack costs an additional 6,000 euros and adds adjustable Ohlins shocks, Brembo brakes and forged 20-inch alloy wheels.
