In the first stage of easing of the quarantine, which the city authorities intend to implement, beginning may 12, the public transport of Kyiv will continue to operate in a restricted mode, that is, to transport certain categories of passengers on presentation of special passes.
Writes the DTN, it follows from the review of the capital mayor Vitaly Klitschko on his page in Facebook.
“Public transport in the first stage will continue to operate in a restricted mode. Private business must solve the problem of transportation of their workers to work”, – said Klitschko.
“Metro will open in the capital by decision of the government”, – said the mayor of Kiev.
He also recalled that the work of suburban transport, the government promised to restore in the first place.
Earlier today it became known that quarantine in Ukraine will be extended until may 22. But on may 11 it will be a relief. Vitali Klitschko noted that the capital to implement the first phase of the easing of restrictions will begin may 12.
At the end of April the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Vladislav Crickley said that since may 12, you may begin the renewal of the commuter and intercity rail and bus transportation.
“We are planning on may 12 to resume activity in cities, suburban, interurban. It’s all about bus and train transportation. But a lot depends on what indicators of the spread of the virus we will have by may 12,” said Crickley.
We will remind that since March 23 the public transport of Kiev, carrying only those passengers who go to work for companies that provide mission-critical areas of Moscow. Such trips are possible only with a special pass to travel on public transport.
