Hybrid Grand Cherokee already in Europe

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, the first hybrid modification in the history of the model, debuted last fall. Sales started in the US in January, and now the gas-electric variant has made its way to Europe, where Jeep will be collecting pre-orders until March 30. Probably, closer to this date, configurations and prices will be revealed, but for now, you can focus on the American price: overseas for the “most economical Grand Cherokee” they ask from $ 57,700.

The initial version of the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe for the European market received 21-inch alloy wheels and a contrasting black roof. The salon is decorated with walnut wood inserts, while the seats and door cards are upholstered in genuine Palermo leather. By the way, the driver and passenger seats are equipped with electric adjustment in 16 directions, memory and massage function.

Front panel – 10-inch dashboard and multimedia system screens, as well as a separate 10.25-inch passenger display. The McIntosh audio system with 19 speakers is responsible for the sound, and four-zone climate control is responsible for the comfortable temperature.

The Exclusive Launch Edition, designed specifically for the launch in Europe, boasts a full range of options, including the Uconnect 5 entertainment complex with four 10-inch displays at once and Active Driving Assist semi-automatic pilot. It belongs to the second level of autonomy on the SAE scale – that is, the driver must keep his hands on the wheel and keep an eye on the road. In addition, this Grand Cherokee has a digital rear-view mirror, and the list of auxiliary electronics includes parking assistance and collision warning systems, as well as a night vision camera.

The powerplant of the Grand Cherokee 4xe is the same as that of the Wrangler 4xe. It consists of a 2.0 turbo four and a pair of electric motors, and the total output is 380 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque. The power reserve exclusively on electricity is 51 kilometers in urban conditions. The drive is a full Quadra-Trac II with a two-stage transfer case. For 100 liters of travel in a combined cycle, such an SUV spends up to 2.6 liters of gasoline, which makes it the most economical Grand Cherokee.
