A sports sedan with a hot hatch i30 N engine should be declassified by the end of this year.
At the end of last month, Hyundai showed the first teaser video with the participation of the Elantra N, and now a spy video has appeared on the Network, filmed during tests at the Nurburgring. It allows you not only to see the masked prototype at close range, but also to hear the sound of the engine.
Despite the abundance of camouflage, we can say with confidence that they are testing a full-fledged “charged” sedan. In addition to the powerful engine, it will be distinguished from the younger versions (including the Elantra N Line) by a very noticeable spoiler on the trunk and a pair of large exhaust pipes, which are not double, but spaced on the sides.
The engine, according to preliminary data, will be borrowed from the updated Hyundai i30 N. This is a two-liter 280-horsepower “turbocharger” that can be combined with a six-speed manual or a new eight-speed robot. The world premiere of Elantra N is expected before the end of this year.
