Hyundai unveiled the M.Vision POP concept hydrogen minivan at CES in Las Vegas. The prototype received four steerable wheels.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine Auto with reference to the company’s press service.
The main goal of such a design is to move freely, or to unfold in the cramped spaces of crowded parking lots of narrow streets and cramped squares in old cities. First of all, the role of taxis is predicted for promising hydrogen cars.
Suspension, steering and brakes support all wheel inversion by 90 degrees. As early as 2023, the Korean automaker is expected to present a modular platform with similar chassis capabilities, on the basis of which a whole family of cars will be created – from compact city cars to light commercial vehicles and minivans.
Each wheel will have its own electric motor. In addition, the Korean automaker is set to equip new hydrogen cars with autonomous driving in 2025.
