The first electric crossover of the carmaker Hyundai Ioniq 5 in 2022 is based on the new E-GMP base. The new KIA EV6 will be created on the same platform. As a result, the Ioniq 5 is compatible with 350 kW DC fast chargers. It will be possible to charge the car from 10 to 80% in just 18 minutes. This is a significant advantage against competitors.
It’s worth noting that buyers will be able to choose between two versions of the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5. Each of them has a 77.4 kWh battery. The entry-level Ioniq 5 models are powered by a single engine that produces 225 horsepower. At the same time, representatives of the company state that the range of travel on a single charge is 482 kilometers.
The carmaker offers a twin-engine version of the car with a combined power of 320 horsepower and four-wheel drive. The car will accelerate to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds.
Also worth noting is the Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function, which can be used to charge laptops, camping equipment, electric scooters and bicycles. For this, the energy of the vehicle’s battery will be used. It’s also worth noting that the roof consists of a single glass panel for an even more open feel.
