Hyundai is preparing a Creta with a new design: the first images

Hyundai’s Indonesian division has released the first few teasers of the updated Creta. It would seem that the crossover has gone through a generational change relatively recently, but the company is already working on a new design. Journalists attribute this to the fact that not everyone liked the controversial appearance of the current model, so the automaker is hastily trying to rectify the situation. On fresh sketches, you can see the changes that will occur inside and outside the car.

Judging by the first three images, the updated Creta will largely inherit the features of the new generation Tucson: it will have a similar frameless grille with integrated navigation light cells. The embossing on the sides will slightly change, and the overall body will become more angular.

If the front of the Creta looks different and resembles a reduced Tucson, then they decided to leave the stern the same as in the current model. The cabin will have an eight-inch screen of the multimedia system and an additional row of seats – it is expected that the seven-seater version will receive a standard rather than an elongated body.

According to preliminary data, the restyled Creta engine range will remain the same. In the markets of Southeast Asia, it includes 1.5-liter petrol and diesel units with a capacity of 115 horsepower. The top will be a 1.4-liter “turbo four”, developing 140 horsepower. Engines are combined with “mechanics”, variator or robotic gearbox with two clutches.

The first market for the restyled Creta will be Indonesia, where a new Hyundai plant is currently being completed. This is where the assembly of the novelty is organized.

How do you rate Crete’s new face?
