Hyundai plans to load Europe with its hydrogen trucks

Hyundai Motor intends to export 64 thousand heavy trucks powered by hydrogen fuel cells by 2030. Deliveries of eco-friendly trucks to Europe have already begun.

So, in July, Hyundai Motor sent 10 hydrogen-fueled XCIENT Fuel Cell heavy trucks to Switzerland and plans to deliver another 40 by December this year.

As part of a long-term contract with Switzerland, by 2025, the Korean automaker will supply 1,600 xcient heavy trucks.

In addition, the company intends to increase its production capacity so that by the beginning of next year it will produce about 2 thousand heavy freighters powered by hydrogen per year.

In addition, the automaker plans to develop a hydrogen-powered truck that can travel more than 1,000 km without refueling. Now the xcient Fuel Cell heavy truck is able to cover a distance of 400 km without refueling.
