The German motorhome manufacturer Volkner has presented another novelty at the Dusseldorf Caravan Salon – a 12-meter luxury mobile home. Its main feature is the built-in space for carrying a car, for example, the Bugatti Chiron. In addition to the garage, the caravan also boasts Volvo and Mercedes-Benz diesels, luxury interiors and solar panels on the roof.
The body of the Mobil Performance S is painted burgundy. On the roof of the 12-meter motorhome, the creators placed six 2000-watt solar panels, the generated energy from which can be used to power electrical appliances. The RV is driven by a Volvo diesel engine with a capacity of 460 horsepower or a Mercedes unit producing 430 horsepower. An automatic transmission works with any of the units.
In the interior of the RV, made of genuine leather and wood, the engineers installed a full kitchen area with a sink, stove, dishwasher, as well as a microwave oven and dining table. In addition, the motorhome has a large bathroom with shower, several sleeping places, as well as a heating system, wine cabinet and even a premium Burmester audio system worth 300,000 euros.
But the main feature of the Volkner Mobil Performance S is still a retractable platform located between the axles of the car, which serves as a garage, for example, for the Bugatti Chiron. You can activate the hidden storage with the click of a button. German engineers estimated their novelty at 2,035,000 euros. However, the price of the motorhome does not include the cost of the hypercar, which is currently estimated at three million dollars.
At the end of April, a huge mobile home Prevost Featherlite H3 45, built on the basis of a 2007 tourist bus, was put up for sale on the online marketplace Motorcoach Store. For a luxury camper with a range of 154,000 kilometers, the seller asked for $ 500,000.
