Brand new compact crossover Skoda Kamiq was able to detect photospin – just a month before its world premiere at the Geneva motor show.
Prototypes, captured on one of the motorways, do not carry too much camo, and at the same time Skoda used a special type of masking to hide the shape of the headlights and tail lights.
In addition, a special masking film closed zone just below the side Windows, bottom of doors, an impressive part of the third side window and the grille, but General shape of the SUV can be considered.
A distinctive feature of Kamiq is the design of the headlights, divided into slim key top, and a large daytime running lights below. The rear lights in the shape of the boomerang and, in General, optics inspired by the concept of Vision X.
We will remind, recently, Skoda has released the official image of the interior of the crossover, which indicate striking similarity with the interior of a compact hatchback Scala, but this is not surprising, as Kamiq built on the same platform MQB-A0. By the way, the same architecture is used by other compact crossovers VW Group – Seat Arona and VW T-Cross.
In fact, the above mentioned two models “share” Kamiq and power plants – expected 1-liter 3-cylinder petrol turbo in the basic version and also a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with different capacity from 89 to 148 horsepower. In addition, will be available 1.6-liter turbo diesel engine and probably a turbo gas version petrol 1 litre motor.
The official debut of Skoda Kamiq is expected at the Geneva motor show, which starts March 5. The crossover will be the smallest in the lineup of the Czech automaker, occupying a niche below the larger Karoq and Kodiaq.
