Department McLaren Special Operations (MSO) has revealed yet another “commemorative” version of the design Speedster Elva. Now the supercar is painted in the colors of a racing prototype M6A, five years in a row, Shine in the series Can-Am and became the first orange “McLaren”.
Orange McLaren first appeared in 1967. Paint racing prototype in the colors of Papaya Orange offered the team Manager Edward Meyer – conceived, bright livery was to make the car more visible. The same scheme got the car MP4/12 1997 season, and in 2009 in the palette McLaren has a new variation – Volcano Orange. A few years later it was added to the shades of McLaren Orange, Papaya Spark and Azores.
A unique version of the supercar Elva painted in the Anniversary colors of Orange, diluted gray stripe and numerals “4” – racing number of Bruce McLaren.
It is in this color especially noticeable effective “shift” of the doors and fairings to the inside of the cabin, and the contrast on the background are the chairs-buckets with white trim. Judging by the photos, the open dvuhdverka also got the badge and pressed carbon.
McLaren Elva dvuhdverka equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 engine with two turbochargers, which delivers 815 force (800 Nm) and is paired with double clutch seven-speed “robot”. From zero to “hundred” model accelerates in less than three seconds.
The machine features an active control system air flow AAMS (Active Air Management) System, capable of creating an air dome over the cockpit.
