The motorcycle was purchased January 18, 1991 for 1100 Soviet rubles for commercial purposes: the owner planned to sell “Java” in Cuba, but to implement his plan failed. The motorcycle stood unassembled in factory box twenty years, but in 2010, the box began to occupy a lot of space and “Java” collected. To have the motorcycle did not: the bike stayed in the garage, and the glove box and the seat mistress in the apartment.
Jawa 350/638 version of “lukovka” – one of the latest models of the Czechoslovak motorcycles that were delivered to the Soviet Union. Discovered in Poltava instance refers to the version with a sidecar: these motorcycles, the side stand is missing, right mirror and the holder for the passenger side. Fiberglass “cradle” Velorex-562 were bought separately, but to the body of the bike was not attached and remained in the factory view: there are mounts, and Mat, and a set of wrenches.

Two-cylinder in-line engine with a volume of 343 cubic centimeters capacity of 27 horsepower allowed two-wheeled transport to accelerate to 125 miles an hour. However, the quality of late model Java low: paint is weak, so that even new technology has chipped.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union the number of the “Java” motorcycles declined sharply, however, the firm managed to stay afloat and keep producing motorcycles of its own design with foreign motors.
