Appeared the patent image of the unknown and absolutely new hatchback from Honda.
These three patent image show a completely new model from Honda, is a compact hatchback that doesn’t look like a full C-segmentator. However, we believe that Honda will add a new product to its international lineup in the foreseeable future.
In late November, Honda introduced a completely new generation City in Thailand. Front panel, door and window of the hatchback fully coincide with those of this relatively compact sedan, and it means that we probably are dealing with a new urban model.
The arrival of a new citicar was unexpected. The previous generation of sedan shared its technical base with the Honda Jazz and the new generation of this car was recently presented a completely new platform. It also means that the citicar, which in other markets is called Ballade (South Africa), Greiz (China) and Grace (Japan), is providing assistance to a new generation.
However, it is noteworthy that Honda expands the family of models based on conventional Jazz five-door hatchback. Earlier it wasn’t there. Honda, however, has compact crossovers on the basis of Jazz, such as the HR-V WR-V and even liftback (Gienia) and MPV (Freed) in the international menu.
Although the front panel of this new Honda is identical to the nose of the new City, the rear design is more reminiscent of such cars as the Mercedes-Benz A-Class and Audi A1. What is the name of the newcomer Honda is not yet known. Like City, this hatchback will likely be fitted with an all-new 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine producing 122 horsepower, which will also find place in the new Jazz outside Europe.
