The dump of rare cars has already become a tourist attraction. There are real rarities among the cars.
In the US state of Georgia, there is an unusual Old Car City car dump. Most of the cars on it are rare classic models. Moreover, there are thousands of them, according to MotorTrend.
To be more precise, about 4,000 retro cars have gathered at the cemetery in the middle of the forest, and its area exceeds 12,000 hectares. Cars began to be brought here in 1931, and at first it was the most common scrap metal dump.
Gradually the auto cemetery has grown, and most of the cars were brought there in the 50-60s. Among them there are real rarities like the Plymouth Superbird – one of the first production models with a wing. You can also find Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Charger and other iconic American cars. There are even some flashy modified hot rods and European sports cars.
The dump has already become a local landmark – it was dubbed Old Car City (the city of old cars) and tourists are taken there to show the unity of nature and vintage cars. It is noteworthy that the auto cemetery has already acquired an owner – the territory was bought by entrepreneur Dean Lewis.
