Indian Mahindra has released a new cross XUV700. The car is built on the new W601 frameless platform, which the company developed with Ford Motor as part of a joint venture.
The length, width and height of the car are 4695, 1890 and 1755 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2750 mm. In terms of dimensions, the car is comparable to the Czech Skoda Kodiaq, that is, it belongs to the mid-size class.
The design of the new Mahindra XUV700 is made in a modern key, the five-door body has a dynamic profile and carefully designed plastic surfaces. On the exterior, intricate headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and retractable door handles like the expensive Tesla and Range Rover attract attention.
In the cabin there is a digital instrument cluster and a media complex, the screens are installed side by side and have a diagonal of 10.25 inches each.
The XUV700 is offered with a petrol or diesel turbo engine. The first has a volume of 2.0 liters and a power of 200 hp, the second – 2.2 liters and 185 hp. Engines are aggregated with a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-range hydromechanical “automatic” Aisin. Front-wheel drive or full drive at the buyer’s choice.
The crossover is equipped with a wide range of preventive safety systems, including blind spot monitoring, lane control, adaptive cruise control, road sign recognition, automatic emergency braking, etc.
The price of Mahindra XUV700 in India is from 1,199,000 to 1,499,000 rupees, depending on the configuration (approximately $ 16,200-20,200 at the current exchange rate). 5- and 7-seater cabin layouts are offered. The car is also planned to be exported to poor developing countries.
