The car that is destined to play in the upcoming sequel to the epic “Batman” looks like a mid-engined car in the style of retro muscle cars. The red lighting is a clear nod to the original Batmobile from the 1960s.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine Auto with reference to Warner Bros. Pictures.
The new Batman trailer gives you a better look at the Batmobile, driven by Robert Pattinson (“Twilight”). It is finished in matt black with LED optics and red illumination, which makes the car look even more menacing.
According to director Matt Reeves, he shot the new “Batman” with a great desire to make the film unique. And the idea of ”terrifying” was deliberately invested in the design of the car. Reeves admitted that the Batmobile scenes are inspired by John Carpenter’s Christina, a horror movie based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name.
After all, the Batmobile is not just a vehicle for the Dark Knight, but an important component of his terrifying image.
“He has to emerge from the gloom to intimidate to death. I liked the very idea that the car acts like a horror beast character,” – said the director.
Initially, the new “Batman” was supposed to hit the big screens in June, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the premiere was postponed to March 4, 2022.
In addition to Pattinson as Batman, the film also stars Colin Farrell as Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman and Andy Serkis as Alfred.
