As part of the Nio Day 2021 event in Suzhou, the premiere of a new electric car took place: the ET5 repeats the design of the larger Nio ET7, and some of the body elements are inspired by the Nio EP9 electric hypercar. On the interior, the novelty also repeats the ET7, differing from it only in size. The equipment of the electric vehicle includes a 10.2-inch dashboard, PanoCinema system with augmented and virtual reality, 256-color atmospheric interior lighting, speakers with Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 surround sound system and a digital key based on UWB technology.

Branded complexes Nio Autonomous Driving, Nio Aquila Super Sensing and Nio Adam Super Computing will provide unmanned driving, but this function will be paid – from 680 yuan per month, and a number of electric vehicle capabilities will be gradually revealed as software updates are released. In terms of dimensions, the Nio ET5 is larger than the Tesla Model 3 – the novelty has a length of 4,790 millimeters, a width of 1,960 millimeters and a height of 1,499 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2,888 millimeters. According to the capacity of the traction batteries, customers will have a choice of three versions.

The flagship version will be a modification with a 150 kilowatt-hour battery with a power reserve of at least 1000 kilometers without recharging, and besides them, they will offer batteries for 100 kilowatt-hours (autonomy of 700 kilometers) and 75 kilowatt-hours (autonomy of 550 kilometers). At launch, the Nio ET5 will be available in a single twin-engine version with 483 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take 4.3 seconds for the novelty, and the 4-piston fixed calipers developed in-house by the company will provide a stop from 100 kilometers per hour in 33.9 meters.
