Ioniq 5 turned into an air purifier (video)

Hyundai continues to promote its first production electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5, which is already available in Ukriana starting at $ 49,800. Instead of scrapping or crashing an unnecessary pre-production prototype in a crash test, Hyundai decided to use it in a commercial titled Rebirth. In the frames, not without the help of computer graphics, the compact cross is being transformed into an air purifier, once again emphasizing the commitment of Koreans to the principles of zero-waste production.

Of course, in the process of transforming into a stylish air filter, the Ioniq 5 got rid of some parts and got new ones. However, many components were used: the body was constructed from the body panels, the 20-inch wheels were used as covers for the fans.

Pixel optics came in handy, as well as the dashboard and multimedia system screens – they were probably reconfigured to control the cleaner. Hyundai did not get rid of the Ioniq 5 lettering, which also found a place on the body. The company did not disclose details of how the filter works, limiting itself to a visual demonstration.

The firstborn of the Ioniq sub-brand, the index 5 compact crossover was unveiled in February 2021. Its basic version is equipped with one electric motor with 170 or 218 horsepower on the rear axle. There is also an all-wheel drive version with a twin-engine installation, which develops a total of 235 or 306 forces. The longest-range variant with a 72.6-kilowatt-hour battery can travel up to 480 kilometers without recharging.
