Euro NCAP has just published its first safety ratings for two new models: the Cupra Formentor and Polestar 2. Both models have been awarded a maximum five stars for the protection of passengers and pedestrians for adults and children, and have been noted for their safety features. / p>
Cupra Formentor scored 93% for adult protection and 88% for children. In the Vulnerable Road Users and Safety Assistant categories, he scored 68% and 80%, respectively. The European Safety Agency has tested a left-hand drive 1.5-liter petrol model with a curb weight of 1,362 kg, but the rating is valid for all Formentors.
For Polestar 2, they chose a twin-engined model with left-hand drive and long-range travel, which weighs 2173 kg. She received 92 and 89% of passenger protection for adults and children, respectively, and 80% for passenger protection. Security Assistant earned 86%.
Security is central to manufacturers’ strategies today. And they know that this is an area where consumers will not tolerate lowering standards. In addition to testing two vehicles, Euro NCAP also updated the ratings of the Captur-based Renault Arkana and the Lexus UX 300e, both of which were awarded a five-star safety rating.
