The new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is the perfect combination of futurism and practicality. One of the things that makes the Cross Turismo so appealing is that happy owners can experience all of these qualities of an electric station wagon.
That said, Porsche has the knack for expanding its lineup in all directions, and these patent images show the plans for a new Taycan. Of course, these images do not provide a clear picture, but some clues indicate that a new Taycan variant is on the way.
First, it looks like the rear fascia has morphed from a Cross Turismo to a sedan. You can see the extended body liner that rises up and around the rear bumper from the Cross Turismo, clearly displayed here in the patent images.
Moreover, from some angles it appears that the rear wing has been modified. It’s hard to say for sure that this is an electric sedan, but these patent images are certainly different from the standard Taycan.
Whatever these patent images represent, it is interesting to speculate on what the Taycan sedan will look like, especially since station wagons like the Cross Turismo are not in the public domain.
