Jaguar is going to expand the line of crossovers

Last year’s edition of the crossover Jaguar F-Pace made a splash. During the sales in Europe were sold 23.5 thousand copies, and in the US a little less than 15 thousand. Following this success, the company is going to expand its lineup of crossovers. Place the flagship model will be given to the vehicle with the name J-Pace, which should be a competitor to the BMW X7, Audi Q7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class. To select a prototype from several options was invited to a special jury.

The novelty will be constructed on absolutely new platform MLA. With its help it is possible to use different variants of the power plant – the classic engine, classic and plug-in hybrids and fully electric motors.

The first car off the Assembly line on the platform MLA will be the Land Rover Defender. Ha the moment there is no information about the company’s plans to establish a fully electric version. In addition to the flagship J-Pace, at Jaguar are going to create a more compact crossovers. No information about them yet. It is expected that they will be called A-B Pace and a-Pace.
