The Japanese firm Mitsuoka Motors has presented slightly modernized versions of the Mitsuoka Viewt sedan and Viewt Nadeshiko hatchback. The sales of new products will start on October 1st.
There is a new standard equipment: now the Viewt is equipped with boot lid shock absorbers. The optional retro-style instrument cluster has also been redesigned, but what exactly has changed in it is not specified.
An easy update was the reason to revise the prices for the model due to accelerated inflation and rising prices for components. Now, Viewt in Japan costs at least 2,761,000 yen (about $ 24,600 at current exchange rates), Viewt Nadeshiko – 2,068,000 yen (about $ 18,500).
Recall that Mitsuoka Viewt has been produced since 1993. The current generation debuted in 2012 and is produced by converting the K13 generation Nissan March / Nissan Micra subcompact. The “donor” itself is quite old – it has been produced for 11 years, since 2010.
The Viewt differs from Nissan in its original front and rear styling in a retro style reminiscent of the 1960s Jaguar Mark 2. Viewt’s unique tail panels are made of fiberglass.
All vehicles are powered by a 79 hp HR12DE three-cylinder engine. and a variator. Front-wheel drive.
