Jetour presented its new T2 SUV, which is already named the main rival of the Tank 300 from Great Wall. On official teasers, the novelty is named TX. Parent company Chery already has a crossover of that name under the Exeed brand.
But we remember that this brand is renaming its SUVs in the home market. So the name TX may be free very soon. The Jetour SUV sports flared wheel arches, toothy tires and a power roof rack in official images.
The optics here are based on LEDs and in design resemble those of the Tank 300. The new SUV also has a backlit Jetour lettering logo. Chinese media write that the new product will get the Kunlun architecture.
Under the hood of the new SUV, a 170-horsepower 1.5-liter engine can be hidden, working in conjunction with a pair of electric motors.
The total output of such a power plant is 462 hp. and 510 Nm of torque. And the novelty is also tipped with the third level autonomous driving technology from Huawei. For comparison, Tesla’s electric cars are equipped with a second level autopilot. Jetour TX will debut on January 10, 2022.
