Karma has befallen Europe

California firm Karma Automotive announced that by the end of 2020 will present their products on all major European markets. It has already signed agreements with dealers in the Netherlands, Sweden, France, Spain and Portugal. The next step – the DACH region: Germany, Austria and Switzerland. However, deliveries in Europe of new models such as electric Revero GTE, is scheduled for 2021, and while Karma will offer a limited number of “original” sedans Revero.

The first Europeans to come Revero sample 2016: hybrid power 409 forces with turboservice 2.0. Its price starts from $130 000. Meanwhile, new Revero – GT and GTS.

“Germany has always been a very difficult market for foreign manufacturers. However, the unprecedented transformation that is now experiencing German automotive industry offers high-tech companies a lot of opportunities,” said Vice President Roger Kroymans.

A statement about the expansion comes amid alarming reports about the dismissal of most of the staff and the upcoming bankruptcy of the Karma. Resource Jalopnik in late June, reported (citing sources within the company) that employees are mistreated, deceived them, delayed wages and forced to leave. Autonomous van if recognized as a “serious security threat” and removed from all tests. The owner of Karma, the Chinese Wanxiang Group, through their lawyers denied all, and Karma (I think) got another chance in the form of increased funding.
