KIA makes the most of its recent success and builds on it with new models. One of the most important of these is the KIA EV6, which is in incredibly high demand. Even the more expensive First Edition (which comes with free Apple Watch, by the way) sold out in one day.
It looks like the EV6 will be offered in multiple trim levels or multiple special editions beyond the first edition, as a recent post on the KIA EV forums shows: EV6 Air, EV6 Earth, EV6 Light and EV6 Water. These new trademarks have been registered in Europe, so it is not known if they are relevant to the American market. It is possible that these will be special editions of EV6, and the new add-ons added to the car will reflect some theme applied to each variant of the car, but there has not been an official explanation from KIA yet.
Whatever these new trademark filings are intended for, it seems that EV6, while brand new, will continue to evolve and improve. The names are not intended to be sporty, so you shouldn’t expect any performance gains here.
Not that the EV6 needs performance – the standard car is available with up to 576 horsepower and 730 Nm of torque if the AWD EV6 GT variant is preferred. In this specification, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.5 seconds and to an impressive 260 km / h. Regardless of what the future holds for EV6, it has a solid foundation for development.
