A few months ago, KIA showed in a teaser image a range of electric cars that will be presented over the next few years. However, in that photo, only the silhouettes of future cars were shown. Despite this, the independent designer has recreated the appearance of the second electric crossover of the KIA brand, which will be released under the EV7 index in 2023.
Published render reveals a 7-seater model with angular body lines (photo: motor.es). In comparison with the previously debuted KIA EV6, the presented novelty has a larger size. Visually, it looks more like the standard crossovers of the Korean brand than an electric car. At the same time, all the body parts of the KIA EV7 have rounded edges, which is probably due to the desire to reduce aerodynamic drag.
The presented novelty is equipped with the original head optics, which gradually expands downward as it moves towards the wheel arches. In front of the KIA EV7, the developer has placed a large bumper with a wide air intake, which is complemented by several thin plastic inserts. The latter are probably responsible for the redistribution of air masses.
Technical characteristics of the Korean novelty have not yet been disclosed. But it is known that it will be based on the E-GMP “cart”, on the basis of which the aforementioned KIA EV6 was created. Perhaps both crossovers will share at least part of the motor range. That is, it is possible that the KIA EV7 will come out with two electric motors, which together produce up to 586 hp. useful power. But, most likely, by default, the novelty will be equipped with one motor with a return of no more than 204 hp.
