KIA has updated its Soul EV line of electric crossovers with a new modification, effectively replacing the First Edition version of the brand’s compact all-electric SUV. The new package, dubbed the Soul EV Maxx, is already available to order starting at £ 32,445 or around $ 44,200 at the current exchange rate. The car will appear at dealers in autumn.
Soul EV Maxx uses a 64 kWh battery, which provides a maximum range of 450 km without recharging. Recharging can be done from the mains with a power of up to 100 kW, which allows you to charge the model to 80% in 54 minutes, while it takes 9 hours and 35 minutes to fully charge from a 7.2 kW home wall box. 201 hp electric motor and 395 Nm drives the front wheels.
The Soul EV Maxx inherits many of the design features of the First Edition. Standard trim includes 17-inch alloy wheels and black leather upholstery. A new solid pearl white color is the standard exterior color, while a new red with a black contrast roof can be ordered for an extra charge along with the rest of the vehicle’s paint palette.
Standard equipment includes full LED headlights, electrically folding and adjustable heated mirrors, and automatic wipers. The equipment also includes heated front seats and heated steering wheel, automatic air conditioning. Adaptive cruise control also comes standard along with the ten-speaker Harmon & Kardon audio system.
The infotainment system boasts a 10.25-inch screen and a 7-inch dashboard. It also comes standard with a rearview camera.
