KIA recalls several thousand Carnival minivans in the US

The South Korean manufacturer has launched a service campaign for the KIA Carnival in the United States.

KIA plans to recall 2 thousand 956 Carnival vehicles produced in the period from July 28, 2021 to October 14 of the same year, in the United States. The reason for the service campaign was problems with the rear doors, which, due to the design of the plastic holders in the lock, can open while the car is moving or not close at all.

KIA noted that if the door cannot be closed, the car will emit four beeps, the same will happen if the door is not closed completely. When the speed reaches 10 km / h, the vehicle will beep continuously and the indicator on the dashboard will light up.

According to the press service of the KIA brand, the owners of all the above vehicles will be notified of the need to come to the nearest brand service center in the United States after December 16, 2021. All work to eliminate this malfunction will be carried out at the expense of the automaker.
