KIA introduced the Sportage crossover in a new special Black Edition series. Sales of the car will begin in Europe in December this year.
The exterior design of the Sportage Black Edition is distinguished by the presence of elements in a glossy black finish. The new design includes a grid and edging of the radiator grille, main and fog lights, front and rear panels of lower protection, as well as roof rails. Metal parts in the front of the crossover and on the door sills are now also made in glossy black.
The cast 17-inch wheels also feature black trim and darkened KIA logos in the center. Instead of the standard chrome finish of the door handles of special series cars, they are painted in the body color.
Buyers of the Sportage Black Edition will be able to choose one of the following body color options: pearl Black, Deluxe White, Infra Red, Lunar Silver, as well as Blue Flame, Casa White and dark gray Penta Metal.
Black interior trim can be either fabric, leather or combined, while there are no other differences from the standard model in saloy. In addition, the Black Edition version is equipped with dual-zone climate control, Parking sensors in front and rear, as well as a set of electronic assistants.
Production of the Sportage Black Edition has already started at the KIA plant in the Slovak city of Zilina. The crossover will enter the European market in December.
