Kozak-7 for VSU

The manufacturer positions the future armored car as a universal platform on which it will be possible to create cars for various purposes.

NVO Praktika is developing the Kozak-7 armored car based on the Ford F-550 chassis. Reported by Defense Express.

“Kozak-7”, as conceived by the developers, should become a universal platform for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The base of the Ford F-550 was changed by installing reinforced axles, springs, shock absorbers, cardan shafts, stabilizers and wheel hubs. This upgrade package is purchased from a NATO member company.

Thanks to the improved chassis, the carrying capacity has increased from 10 to 12 tons. The payload on the chassis is 9 tons, which, according to engineers, should allow the creation of armored vehicles for different purposes. For example, for the installation of a mortar, anti-tank complex or the creation of a medical, landing vehicle. Also, the armored car received an eight-cylinder engine with 330 horsepower manufactured by Ford with an automatic transmission for 10 gears.

Development of “Kozak-7” is carried out on the basis of “Kozak-5”, which the company manufactures for export. Praktika plans to offer the current development for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Currently, Kozak-2, Kozak-2M and other armored vehicles are supplied to various law enforcement agencies.

It is also noted that the enterprise independently produces armored capsules for the needs of the plant.
