Lamborghini has test mysterious prototype

Italian hypercar Huracan Performante barely a year old, but I think the company is already working on an updated model.

There’s no official confirmation about the fact that soon we’ll see the new Huracan Evo Performante, but photospin caught a mysterious prototype undergoing testing in Europe. The model seems reminiscent of the Huracan Evo and doesn’t look that special, until you see her from behind.

So, the car was equipped with a unique engine cover which has a stepped design. This element, unlike anything used in the line of the Huracan, has more in common with a lid, placed on the Aventador S.

In addition to the unique details, the prototype has a different front bumper with tape on the outer edges. Thus, it seems that there is nothing special.

Given a slight modification, we’re not quite sure what is this prototype. However, experts believe that this may be a test mule for the updated Huracan Performante.

This seems reasonable, since the Huracan was updated earlier this year and renamed to Huracan Evo. In addition to the updated exterior design, the model has a more modern interior with 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Of course, the biggest change was the upgraded 5.2-liter V10 that delivers 631 HP and a torque of 600 Nm.

As a result, we would not be surprised if Lamborghini working on Huracan updated Performante, which will have a more powerful motor. There is no information about exactly how powerful can be the new Performante, but initially the car had 30 HP more than the base Huracan. Thus, Performante Huracan Evo can be 661 HP of power.
