In the Instagram account Land.cruiser.300, specializing in insider information about the new generation Toyota Land Cruiser, a table has appeared with data on the engines of the novelty: the model will be offered with two six-cylinder engines, and the V8 engine will be excluded from the range.
If you believe the information from Land.cruiser.300, at the start of sales, the new Land Cruiser (presumably it will receive the 300 index) will be available with a 3.5-liter V6 turbocharged gasoline engine, the return of which will be 415 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque moment. This unit will replace the outdated V8 from the lineup.
An alternative would be a 3.3-liter V6 diesel with 309 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The table also shows the increase in power compared to the previous diesel unit: +30 kilowatts (41 hp) and +50 Nm.
Earlier it became known that the embargo on the dissemination of official data on the Land Cruiser 300 expires at the end of May 2021, which means that the premiere of the model will take place either on May 31 or June 1. In addition, it turned out that the SUV will receive a GR-S version, and it will be available for both petrol and diesel versions.
It is expected that with the change of generation, the Land Cruiser will retain the frame structure with a continuous rear axle and permanent all-wheel drive with a reduction gear. Dimensions will remain the same, and external changes will affect the radiator grille, optics and glazing. The list of equipment will include two 11.6-inch touchscreen tablets for passengers in the back row, 12.3-inch multimedia screen, JBL audio system with 14 speakers, four-zone climate control and head-up display.
