Land Rover is releasing a model year update for the Range Rover Velar. The SUV, which was already restyled last year, has not been seriously updated, but in many areas it has been slightly tweaked.
The Range Rover Velar, refreshed in 2020, is entering a new model year, which means the SUV has been slightly tweaked in various areas. New items mainly concern standard equipment and options. For example, the 2022 Velar is now available in fourteen new paint colors, which Land Rover has placed under the SV Bespoke Premium Palette heading. It is also possible to cover Velar completely with your own chosen and blended color. In addition, a new bronze paint finish is now available for all versions.
The updated crossover is equipped with an on-board air filtration system, which Land Rover calls Cabin Air Purification Plus. This is an extended version of the existing cabin air ionisation system. In short, the air in the Velar is even cleaner. The system regulates, among other things, the CO2 level, and the driver can remotely activate and schedule the system.
Adaptive cruise control with steering assist is now available as an option on Range Rover Velar. Thus, the Velar not only keeps its distance from the vehicle in front, but also keeps neatly within the lane. It is standard on the R-Dynamic HSE version. Later this year, Land Rover will have a so-called wireless update for Velar, which will allow the smartphone to wirelessly connect to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
