Ferrari sold the entire run of the 812 Competizione supercars in a matter of hours. The Italian brand’s commercial director, Enrico Galliera, confirmed to Top Gear that the two-door quotas were chosen on the day of the premiere on May 5th.
Enrico Galliera admitted that the number of orders for 830-horsepower special versions 812 Competizione and 812 Competizione A was so high that the top manager even had to explain to some members of the Ferrari family why the Italian company could not meet all the demand.
The excitement was partly provoked by small editions: only 999 copies of the 812 Competizione coupe and 599 copies of the 812 Competizione A in the targa body will be produced. Buyers were not embarrassed by the impressive price: a closed two-door in Italy costs from 499 thousand euros, a version with an open roof – from 578 thousand euros. that is, the overpayment relative to the usual 812 Superfast / 812 GTS is about 50 percent.
Those who managed to order unique Ferraris with an atmospheric high-revving V12 will receive cars only in 2022: deliveries of the 812 Competizione coupe will begin in the first quarter, and the 812 Competizione A targa will arrive in time by the end of next year.
