Judging by them, the design of the reformed SUV will be adjusted to the modern corporate identity of the brand, which Lexus has already tested in the new NX. According to the imaginations of independent designers, the LX 2022 will receive an enlarged grille and narrow head optics of a “predatory” look, as well as a redesigned front bumper.
Changes in the stern will be reduced to the appearance of other taillights, which will visually unite with an LED strip, and the brand emblem will disappear from the trunk lid, which will be replaced by the inscription in large letters “LEXUS”. The rear bumper will also undergo changes, which will acquire a silver plastic trim at the bottom (imitation of a diffuser).
Nothing is known for certain about the technical side of the SUV. According to rumors, the car will be offered in three versions: LX570, LX600 and LX750h. Considering the platform of the Land Cruiser 300, at least one of them will get a gasoline V6 from the “300”. The transmission will almost certainly also move to a luxury SUV from the Toyota soplatform. As a reminder, there is an uncontested 10-band “automatic machine”.
