The Japanese automaker will release the Lexus GX 460 crossover in the new Black Line Special Edition.
The Lexus GX SUV can be called a long-liver, because the premiere of the second generation model took place back in 2009. The model has already been updated several times, but the changes mainly concerned the exterior of the car. The interior of the GX has changed much less frequently. The last time the automaker modified the car interior was back in 2019, when the multimedia system was redesigned. The American branch of the brand announced changes in the car for 2022. The car will receive a console with a protruding touchscreen display, which will be 10.3-inches instead of the previous eight inches. The company showed the changes on the example of the new GX 460 Black Line Special Edition, which will be offered for $ 59,260.
The new multimedia complex will support Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa interfaces. In addition, the Lexus Enform Remote will be available with engine start and six USB ports scattered around the cabin.
In addition to shaded décor, the new GX Black Line boasts two-tone Nuluxe interior trim with gray accents, stitching and matt ash black trim on the steering wheel. The rest of the novelty does not differ from other models. Under the hood of the SUV is a 4.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 with 305 hp. and 446 Nm of torque.
The exterior of the Lexus GX Black Line is adorned with Garnet Red headlights with red diffusers instead of silver-transparent, black roof rails, and body-colored door handles.
Optional Adaptive Electronically Controlled Suspension, Off-Road Package, Multi-Terrain Monitor, Panoramic View Monitors, Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select systems and fuel tank guard.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Toyota Motor is planning a significant update of the range of Lexus crossovers and SUVs. In 2022 there will be new RX and LX, in 2024 – GX.
