The story of this Lincoln Aviator began when stylists visited the flagship Shinola showroom in Detroit. After studying popular products, “motorists” decided to use the most interesting design solutions when creating a conceptual crossover.
Collaboration with accessories brand Shinola gave Lincoln the opportunity to play with different colors and new materials. The body tone is reminiscent of the popular Shinola watch dials, with mother-of-pearl white mixed with copper accents, including the grille, air vents and rims.
The interior features unique textured leather seats with signature stripes inspired by Shinola bags. The interior also features cream suede, soft upholstery and the same copper inserts. The Lincoln Aviator Shinola will be showcasing live at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California later this month.
Lincoln recently added an exterior package called Monochromatic to Aviator. The radiator grille, badge, side mirror housings, moldings and rims up to 22 inches are available in Infinite Black. Also available are Pristine White and Asher Gray.
The “Aviator” is powered by a 3-liter “turbo six” with a capacity of 400 hp. combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission. There is also a 450-horsepower hybrid modification. In the basic version, the torque is supplied exclusively to the rear axle; buyers of the crossover will have to pay extra for all-wheel drive.
