From Monday, April 5, when strict quarantine begins in Kiev and public transport will carry only with passes, private carriers will not stop routes. But not all transport will be taken out onto the roads. This was stated by the head of the Association of Carriers of Kiev and Kiev region Igor Moiseenko, reports Ukrinform.
He said that the buses will not go on the line in full, because there are problems with passes for drivers.
“We promptly ordered special passes for our employees, but, unfortunately, we have not yet received information whether they will be with us or not. We need our mechanics, our employees to be able to get to work,” Moiseenko said. / p>
In addition, he added, many drivers refuse to go on routes early next week.
“Firstly, because of the passengers, which will not be. Secondly, people without passes will not be able to get into public transport, because, I think, law enforcement officers will work there and help the conductors not let those passengers pass ( more than will be allowed – ed.). We will not have this, so all these passengers will still try to get into the salons of our buses. These will be constant conflicts between passengers and drivers, “Moiseenko said and added that the carriers will try to release the largest possible number of rolling stock for routes.
At the same time, Moiseenko said that there is already a decision of the capital’s authorities, which spells out the mode of operation of minibuses during the period of strengthening quarantine measures from April 5.
“This document already exists. In principle, what I thought. Minibuses are public transport, and we will work in the same mode as KP” Kyivpastrans “, – said the head of the Association of Carriers.
He also recalled that from Saturday, April 3, the planned cost of travel on 15 out of 150 routes from 8 to 10 hryvnia will be raised.
