In Canada travels an unusual Porsche 911 Turbo 1976. On his odometer mileage flaunts 779 thousand miles, that is 1.25 million kilometers.
All this time the car has one owner, businessman bill Maceachern. He fell in love with the Porsche 911 in his youth, and first bought a standard coupe and then the Turbo. He chose a car with three-liter 260-horsepower turbosystems, sport seats and limited slip differential.
Bill Maceachern uses the sports car Porsche as a daily ride – hence the huge mileage. In 44 years of almost no faults – except that the fan pulley fell apart. But once the Porsche 911 Turbo got in an accident and had to change the driveshaft and control arm.
Perhaps this is a record mileage for a Porsche 911, but the car continues to drive. Although the sports coupe is not the coolest figure – here, the primacy belongs to Volvo.
